Repeat Prescriptions
If you take medication on a long term basis you can ask for a repeat prescription. Your request should always be in writing. If you have the tear off slip from your previous repeat prescription forms, please bring these to the Practice when you are requesting the next repeat. Otherwise, please put into writing what you need. Please ensure you include your full name and date of birth. We accept faxed requests; please send faxes to the surgery location where you prefer to collect your prescription when it has been processed. If you wish, you may enclose a stamped addressed envelope for us to post your prescription back to you.
Alternatively, you may order online via the link at the top of this page. New users will need to bring photo ID and proof of current address to the surgery. You will be requested to complete a simple registration form prior to using the system for the first time.
We do not accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone, unless you are registered with us as a housebound patient.
Patients must allow 48 working hours for repeat prescriptions to be processed.
Patients may also nominate a pharmacist who provides a repeat prescription service, to help them obtain their repeats. Please ask your regular pharmacist about this service.
Some patients may need weekly prescriptions due to health problems, this can be arranged with the GP Practice and Pharmacist.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays in obtaining further prescriptions.
